Do you offer time coding?
Yes. We can insert time codes into your transcription using our keyboard time code wedge software, or through the actual burned-in time codes from the camera. If you require burned in time coding, please send either a standard audio cassette with audio on one channel and time code on the second channel or a DVD with burned-in time codes.

How do you determine charges for transcription services?
We charge by the hour for our services, basing our pricing on the following common estimation formulas:
For simple transcription: Hours of recorded time x 4 to 6 = Hours of transcription time
For complex transcription: Hours of recorded time x 5 to 7 = Hours of transcription time
Please note that variables such as subject matter, accents, fidelity of the recording and other factors can affect transcription time. Request an estimate for your specific job.

Is there anything I should send along with my tapes or files?
Yes. In order to save you valuable time and money while ensuring the highest quality transcript, please provide any relevant supporting information that is available. This may include the names and titles of all meeting or focus group participants, an agenda, and any Power Point presentations, handouts, or other materials. A speaker identification list that indicates the order of speakers as well as the first few words of each instance of speaking is also helpful in ensuring that speakers are correctly identified in your final transcript.
